Forward-deployed capability · Compliance engineering
Do the work before the auditor arrives.
We deploy compliance engineering teams into your environment to implement the controls, technical changes and evidence collection required by the assessment scope, then coordinate the handoff to the independent assessor.
For an AI-native organization, that scope includes agents, models, tools, evaluations and the pipeline that ships them.
Follow a requirement into the operating record
- 01
Requirement
Define the obligation, system boundary and control owner.
- 02
Implemented control
Make the technical change in the approved environment.
- 03
Operating evidence
Record source lineage, collection time and the control relationship.
- 04
Independent review
Test the control and give the assessor an inspectable record.
An audit is decided months before fieldwork.
The work that decides it is technical: controls that actually enforce something, evidence that can be produced on demand with its lineage intact, and owners who know what they own.
What we install is a system where evidence is produced through the control operation itself, collected through configured paths, hashed and signed, and traceable to the requirement it satisfies. The assessor asks for a control operating over a period, and the record is already structured for review.
Engineering owns the outcome. Our teams implement the controls, wire the evidence, and remediate the gaps.
The practice is led by practitioners with decades of hands-on audit, assessment and control-implementation experience across regulated enterprises — both sides of the examination. That is why the readiness work is organized around what an assessor will actually ask for, in the form they will actually ask for it, with engineering evidence connected to every conclusion.
Audit readiness for an AI-native team.
A team that builds with agents creates a new control surface. Models and agents make decisions that need an owner. Code arrives through a pipeline where a human review step is the control. Prompts and tool registries are configuration that changes behavior in production. Vendors are model providers, and data crosses into them at a step rather than at a perimeter.
We scope those into the control set the way an assessor can test them: who approves an agent action, where the human gate sits, what the model is permitted to see, how a change to a prompt or a tool is reviewed and released, and what evidence each of those produces. It is the same discipline we bring to identity and change management, applied to the part of your estate that is newest.
How the engagement runs.
Assess
We map your environment against the framework you are pursuing: the system boundary, the in-scope systems and data flows, the control set, and the responsibility split between you, your cloud providers and your vendors. You get a defensible scope and a gap register with an owner and a fix on every row.
Design
We turn the target control set into enforceable architecture: identity and privileged access, change management, logging, vulnerability management, vendor and subprocessor governance, incident response — and where AI is in scope, model governance and the controls around how AI-assisted work reaches production.
Implement and remediate
Our engineers do the work in your systems: the identity-provider configuration, the access model, the pipeline gates, the logging, the endpoint posture, the alerting. Where remediation touches code, we deliver reviewed changes through your own process. This is the phase most readiness programs hand back to the client, and it is the phase that decides the outcome.
Evidence
We establish collection system by system: native over-the-wire collection for GitHub and Okta, then scoped collector-framework adapters or direct instrumentation for the rest of the agreed environment. Each artifact carries its lineage — what produced it, when, from which system, satisfying which control — under a chain-of-custody manifest that is cryptographically hashed, signed and independently verifiable.
Test before the assessor does
We run the configured controls the way an assessor will: sampled, over a period, against the real population. Each finding enters the remediation plan with its evidence, owner and acceptance path.
Assessor handoff
Independent assessors and certification bodies perform certification. We prepare the environment, organize the evidence, stand up the assessor workspace, answer the technical questions and manage the request list, giving the assessor a direct, structured path through the control record.
Continuous assurance
The operating model stays after we do: a daily freshness sweep across collected evidence, live tests against configured controls, named owners, and a register that reflects current evidence state throughout the assessment period.
Control domains we engineer.
The assessment target changes by sector. The engineering disciplines underneath it remain stable, and each implemented control retains the requirement mappings that make cross-framework reuse possible.
- Control architecture
- Identity, privileged access, change and release, logging, vulnerability management, incident response
- Evidence engineering
- Collection design, chain of custody, hashing and signing, requirement mapping, assessor-ready lineage
- AI-native delivery
- Model and tool approval, evaluation gates, human authorization, prompt and configuration release evidence
- Assessment operations
- Sampling, live control tests, request workflow, finding remediation, assessor workspaces
The platform behind the teams.
Our compliance engineering teams run on ControlFrame, our own platform for compliance engineering and evidence assurance. Its deepest control libraries cover CMS EDE, SOC 2 and ARC-AMPE, and its mapping layer preserves cross-framework relationships without duplicating the underlying control.
- Framework and requirement mapping, with cross-framework crosswalks so one control answers many obligations
- Evidence collection with chain-of-custody manifests, cryptographic hashing and signing, and independent offline verification
- A live control-testing engine that exercises configured controls against real targets
- Remediation proposals attached to mapped findings and routed through your own review process
- Auditor and assessor workspaces, with scoped access and a managed request list
- A daily freshness sweep across collected evidence, with current state carried into the control record
- Native over-the-wire collection for GitHub and Okta, plus a connector framework for additional systems scoped to the engagement
- Collectors that execute in your cloud, private cloud or on-premises estate, coordinated by the managed ControlFrame control plane
What you receive.
- A defensible system boundary and scope definition
- A control set mapped to your framework, with named owners
- A gap register tied to engineering changes, owners and acceptance evidence
- An evidence library with lineage, organized the way the assessor will ask for it
- Control test results from a full pre-assessment run
- The assessor workspace, populated and ready
- An evidence-freshness and control-testing operating model your team can run
How we work inside your environment.
Our engineers work inside your boundary, on credentials your identity team issues and can revoke, scoped to the systems named in the engagement charter. Collection paths, evidence destinations and retention are agreed with your security team before activation.
Access and scope expand only with your written approval, through your own change process. Evidence carries provenance, control links and a cryptographic chain you keep — and can verify yourself, offline.
